Do they work really well when losing weight? or are treadmills better?

Which will make me lose weight faster? and also if I burn around 600 calories on an Elliptical exercise machine is it better than burning it on a treadmill or other machine of some sort?

Also do Elliptical exercise machines make you more muscle-defined? Because I do not want muscles, I just want to lose weight to be slim.. Some people say they also wont slim down my thighs they will just make them more muscly?

I’d say treadmills are better in helping you burn fat faster since they’re closer to the real deal. It raises your heart rate faster to the fat burning

rate so running to burn 600 calories will be more effective on the treadmill than on the elliptical.

However, you’ll probably find an elliptical a lot more motivating to use as they feel easier. I have been using an elliptical frequently–about 3-5 times a week–and I’ve noticed plenty of progress. My body feels pretty slim these days.

As for muscles from using an elliptical or treadmill, I’d say that it is not something you need to worry about. Just don’t strength train with weights and you won’t get any "muscly."
